Senior Injection Mold Engineer

Leading global manufacturer of innovative hardware products serving a diverse marketplace including automotive, telecommunications, marine, computer and medical with a 100+ year history of solid growth; is seeking a Senior Injection Mold Engineer.
 
Job Description:
  • Provide technical expertise with Injection Molding processes and equipment, to include injection molding machinery, robotics and handling.
  • Justify and manage replacement  tooling projects and equipment purchases
  • Assist in problem solving, corrective actions and preventive actions to ensure quick response with immediate corrective action for quality complaints.
  • Interface with manufacturing and quality engineering to effectively resolve internal and/or external quality problems in corrective, preventive, or continuous improvement manner.
  • Lead and participate in Formal Product and/or Process Design Reviews.
  • Provide significant technical contributions to major projects and/or technical teams.
  • Provide mentoring & coaching to others performing similar jobs. (Engineer I’s and II’s).
  • A heavy emphasis on supporting new product launches, leading major projects
  • Identify and drive productivity improvements and enhancements to the IM process
  • Recommend, specify and implement new technology and technological enhancements into the manufacturing.
  • Will be expected to have strong teamwork skills that will allow them to interface closely with manufacturing, design engineering, product management, and quality engineers to improve processes and products.
 
Qualifications:
  • BS Degree in an Engineering Discipline.
  • 5 or more years’ experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
  • NX CAD experience desired
  • Moldflow experience desired
  • Prior training and demonstrated application of Six Sigma tools preferred.
  • Experience with and knowledge of Injection Molding processes and tooling
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
